Hi, I'm Elena.

I came into this industry out of survival, not some lifelong dream — but somewhere along the way, it became a genuine calling. This work has shaped the person I am today, and I actually care about it. Most days it doesn't even feel like work.

Before this, I worked as a Child and Youth Care Counselor, and that background shows up in how I run this business — I care, and I put pride into everything I do. I don't promise perfection. What I promise is honesty, and putting my heart into it. As long as the right package is chosen and we communicate well, this industry has a way of delivering exactly what people need during a genuinely stressful time.

I work independently, and that's by choice. I'm not building toward a big company with a team under me — I have no interest in hiring or managing. What I'd like to build, eventually, is something that helps other independent cleaners do what I do: work for themselves, on their own terms. Training, not managing. That's the clearest way I can describe where I stand in this industry.

SCOPE & LIMITS

What's Not Included, or May Require Extra Time

Items that are tangled, knotted, stuck, or difficult to access (e.g. tied-up blinds, jammed drawers) are cleaned to the extent reasonably possible within the scheduled time. Freeing these takes extra time and may be billed at $65/hr or flagged for a follow-up visit — always discussed with you first.
Components that are sealed or would require disassembly (stove burner bases, dryer vent interiors) are cleaned to the best extent possible but not forced open, for safety.
Post-renovation cleanup, biohazard cleanup, and mold remediation are not offered.
Severe buildup from multiple pets or a property not cleaned by previous occupants may require more than one visit.
Carpet shampooing and upholstery cleaning are not included in standard packages.

Why flat rates — and why every home is assessed first

Most cleaning companies charge by the hour, which means neither of us knows the final number until the job is done. My packages are built around the actual time each level of work takes to complete properly. This is also an owner-operated business — no team is sent to your home, so the time allocated is the time it actually takes to do it right, never rushed to meet an arbitrary hourly target.

The prices listed are a transparent starting point. Your final quote is confirmed after a quick review of your property's actual size and layout. What I quote is what you pay.

Turnovers are time-sensitive. I work by appointment, I'm on time, and I deliver results that meet landlord inspection standards consistently.

Your lease says "professionally cleaned" — in BC, landlords can deduct cleaning costs from your deposit if the property isn't returned properly. The right package depends on how the property looks now.

Good to know: I know what property managers inspect — I'll recommend the right package so you're not under-cleaning and losing money, or over-spending on work you don't need.

What "Professionally Cleaned" Actually Means

One of the most misunderstood terms in a real estate transaction. Getting clear on it saves everyone time, money, and disappointment.

For Sellers

The cleaning clause in your contract protects the buyer — and it's one of the last impressions you leave before closing. A buyer who walks into a home that doesn't feel genuinely clean often pushes back on price, and that cost is almost always higher than the clean itself.

For Buyers

A professionally cleaned home is not a brand-new home. It means the property has been cleaned to remove the visible evidence of occupancy. Worn finishes and age-related wear are renovation issues, not cleaning issues.

What Makes a Clean "Deep"?

A lot of companies use "deep clean" as a marketing label. Here, it means something specific — for occupied homes needing a genuine reset, not a move-in or move-out.

Deep cleaning is for a home that's still lived in but hasn't had thorough attention in months, is being prepped for guests, or needs more than a routine tidy-up. Unlike move-in or move-out cleaning, the home stays occupied throughout.

Before I Arrive for a Deep Clean

Please move small items off kitchen countertops onto the kitchen table, and remove any products from shower/tub surfaces.

A Note on Appliances

Deep Cleaning is not the same as a move-in or move-out clean. Full appliance detailing (interiors of the oven, fridge, etc.) is standard for move-in/move-out because the home is empty — for an occupied Deep Clean, appliance interiors are treated as an add-on rather than automatically included, since access and contents vary home to home. If you'd like full appliance detailing as part of your Deep Clean, just let me know and I'll build it into your quote.

Choosing the Right Package

It's common for a property to look like it needs Essential at first glance, but have kitchen grease buildup, bathroom grime, or other wear that really calls for Detailed or Renewal. Rather than leave that to guesswork, I do a final walkthrough before finalizing your package — so what you're quoted actually matches what your home needs, not just what it looked like from the outside.

Before You Ask — Here's the Rest

The goal is that you shouldn't need to message me just to understand how this works. If something's still unclear after this, that's on me to fix.

Do I need to provide my own cleaning supplies?

No — I bring everything needed: all cleaning supplies and equipment. You don't need to have anything ready except the property itself (and, for deep cleans, a bit of light prep — see below).

What's your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Life happens, so I don't charge cancellation fees — and I hold myself to that same standard. If something outside my control means I can't make it, I'll let you know as soon as possible, and I can refer you to one of two trusted local cleaning companies I work with directly, so you're never left stuck.

What if something gets missed?

This is exactly why I always do a final walkthrough with you before I leave. Anything that needs another look gets addressed immediately, while we're both there and can agree on what needs attention — not the next day, once I'm gone and there's no shared understanding of what actually happened. I ask every client to walk through with me before I go; it's the best way to make sure you're leaving satisfied.

Do you take every job?

Not always, and that's intentional. I reserve the right to decline a booking that isn't the right fit — for example, an urgent same-day turnover needing multiple people working at once isn't something a one-person business can deliver well, and I'd rather be upfront about that than overpromise. This same flexibility — never being locked into an hourly clock, never rushing to hit a target — is exactly what lets me do the work properly on the jobs I do take.
